FDA’s Preventive Controls for Human Food (PCHF) regulation requires facilities that manufacture, process, pack or hold human food for consumption in the U.S., to have at least one “Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI)”.
This course is the standardized curriculum developed by FSPCA and is recognized by the FDA as meeting the training requirements to become a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual. This course provides the knowledge to perform or oversee:
• Preparation of the Food Safety Plan namely the hazard analysis and identification of the preventive controls
• Validation of the preventive controls
• Records review
• Reanalysis of the Food Safety Plan

Jenifer Kane has 36 years of experience in the food industry, most recently as senior industry advisor with the International Food Protection Training Institute. Prior to that role, she was director of global quality auditing for the Kellogg Company. She previously served in food safety and quality roles with Nabisco, Planters and Lifesavers, Kraft Foods, and Keebler Companies. She is a Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance lead instructor and a trainer of trainers for both the FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food and the Foreign Supplier Verification Program.
